EHR for IDD providers

Audit-ready from the first clock-in.

Nimbus Care is the EHR for day programs, group homes, and in-home services. Scheduling, EVV, field notes, eMAR, training, and billing in one place, built for staff in the field, not hospitals.

Records, not reconstruction.

Why Nimbus

Built for staff in the field, not hospitals.

Most EHRs were designed around clinics and inpatient floors. Your work happens in day program rooms, group homes, vans, and kitchens. Nimbus is designed around the people who do it.

  • Stay audit-ready

Capture EVV and documentation in canonical records so compliance reviews start from evidence, not reconstruction.

  • See the workforce clearly

Give operations and clinical leaders visibility into shifts, visits, training status, and open issues across programs.

  • Keep staff focused on care

Reduce duplicate paperwork and brittle tools so DSPs spend more time with people and less time fighting systems.

How a shift becomes a record

From clock-in to compliance evidence

One path for shift verification, visit arrival, field notes, and admin review, so audits start from records, not reconstruction.

Illustrative workflow with fictional sample data.

  1. Step 1: Clock in

The DSP opens the field app and clocks in to their scheduled shift. Time, device, and location are captured at the moment it happens, not typed in at the end of the week.

  2. Step 2: Arrival & EVV check

Client arrival, transport method, and GPS-aware visit verification are recorded against the service authorization. Anything out of bounds is flagged for review right away.

  3. Step 3: Field note

Notes are written where the work happens, tied to the visit they describe, and completed as part of the end-of-shift flow, so a missing note shows up today, not at audit time.

  4. Step 4: Audit trail

Every event lands in an append-oriented trail. Corrections are added with a reason and an approver, never overwritten, so reviewers see exactly what happened and when.

Billing via Stedi

Claims that start from verified visits.

Billing and claims in Nimbus run through Stedi, our clearinghouse integration partner. Because claims are built from EVV-verified, documented services, the claim and the record describe the same visit.

Who we serve

For agencies supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Designed for the executives, compliance officers, and program directors who run disability-services programs, and for the direct support professionals who do the work.

Switching to Nimbus

Leaving another system shouldn’t mean starting over.

Whether you are on paper and spreadsheets or moving from an established EHR, we plan the move with your team: what to bring over, how staff learn the field app, and when to go live, without a gap in your records.

  1. 1Map what you have. Individuals, staff, services, authorizations, and the records you need to keep.
  2. 2Set up Nimbus around your programs. Services, sites, roles, and schedules configured before day one.
  3. 3Train with the built-in LMS. DSPs learn the field app; admins learn review and reporting.
  4. 4Go live with support. A planned cutover date and someone to call.
